Inspired by my recent experience on the set of Emily in Paris in Paris, Where Is Lily? is a raw and expressive tribute to the world of film and television. After participating in the filming of an episode and meeting Lily Collins and Ashley Park, I was moved to translate the energy, excitement, and fleeting moments of the production into paint.
Built through layers of acrylic, oil pastel, spray paint, and paper collage, the work blends fragmented faces, handwritten notes, and gestural marks into a visual search, part memory, part mystery. The title references both Lily Collins and the feeling of looking for a presence within the chaos of recollection. Echoes of the Parisian bistro setting, so central to the series’ distinctly French atmosphere, emerge and dissolve throughout the composition.
This painting is both a personal souvenir and a celebration of the creative magic that happens behind the camera, dedicated to two actresses whose warmth and talent left a lasting impression.
